Very soft, whitish cloth of a firm texture, called 白㲲 (bàk-èp báidié) like silk in appearance, which is woven from a cocoon-like fruit, and was brought from Gao-chang 高昌 (gäo-chëng gāochāng in present-day Xinjiang 新疆 xïn-gëng xīnjiāng); the Tangut (党項[黨項] ōng-hòng dǎngxiàng) people have 霞㲲 (hã-èp xiádié) embroidered goat's hair cloth, which seems to be something like cashmere shawls, but the old 白㲲 (bàk-èp báidié) brought from thence is now called 紅氆氇 ( s.红氆氇 hũng-pū-lû hóngpǔlu) or red pilot-cloth.¹⁰²
