Lesson 2 - Counting, Days of the Week, and Color

This lesson shows how counting is structured from 1 to 1,000,000,000; the days of the week, and the names of several colors.

1 through 10 are individual words as shown in the table above.
11 consists of 2 words: ten one.
12 consists of 2 words: ten two.
13 consists of 2 words: ten three, etc. to nineteen.
20 consists of 2 words: two ten.
21 consists of 3 words: two ten one.
22 consists of 3 words: two ten two, etc. to twenty-nine.
30 consists of 2 words: three ten, etc. to 99 by following the same pattern.

100 consists of 2 words: one hundred.
101 consists of 4 words: one hundred zero (lẽng) one.
102 consists of 4 words: one hundred zero two, etc. to 109.
110 consists of 3 or 4 words: one hundred one or one hundred one ten.
111 consists of 5 words: one hundred one ten one.
112 consists of 5 words: one hundred one ten two, etc. to 119.
120 consists of 4 words: one hundred two ten.
121 consists of 5 words: one hundred two ten one, etc. to 999.

1,000 consists of 2 words: one thousand.
1,001 consists of 5 words: one thousand zero zero one.
1,002 consists of 5 words: one thousand zero zero two, etc. to 1,009.
1,010 consists of 5 words: one thousand zero one ten.
1,011 consists of 6 words: one thousand zero one ten one, etc. to 1,099.
1,100 consists of 4 words: one thousand one hundred.
1,101 consists of 6 words: one thousand one hundred zero one, etc. to 9,999

10,000 consists of 2 words: one myriad, i.e. 1 followed by 4 zeros.
10,001 consists of 6 words: one myriad zero zero zero one, etc. 99,999.
Note: The English system has 3 digits to a group, while the Chinese system has 4 digits to a group.
For lack of a better modern word, I am using the archaic word myriad to represent 10,000
(written in Chinese as 1,0000).

100,000 consists of 2 words: ten myriad.
1,000,000 consists of 3 words: one hundred myriad.
1,000,000,000 consists of 3 words: ten myriad myriad.
